The running cost of a Relxtime hot tub varies based on factors like its size, water volume, location (sheltered vs. unsheltered), usage frequency, outside temperature fluctuations, and individual energy rates. Using a Relxtime just on weekends costs less than a takeaway or a cinema trip for two.

Should I leave my Relxtime SPA filter on all the time?

Wondering if you can jump into your Relxtime Spa immediately? Wait at least 24 hours after setup.
Once inflated, simply fill with fresh water, add an initial shock dose of chlorine, and let it heat up. If you prefer, you can start with warm water. For guidance on hot tub chemicals, see our Chemicals Guide.
Do I need a flat surface for my Relxtime SPA?
Yes, a Relxtime SPA needs to be placed on a completely flat and solid surface. Do not use the spa on sharp or rocky surfaces to prevent punctures.
Can You Use A Relxtime Indoors And Outdoors?
Suitable Surface: A smooth, flat, even surface that is capable of supporting the entire filled weight of your Relxtime SPA plus the weight of the users. Positioning your Relxtime SPA on an uneven surface can cause unequal pressure on one side of the hot tub which will increase the likelihood of your liner failing. Setting up on a heated floor is not recommended.
Power Supply Proximity: You need to consider having a power supply that is close enough for the cable to reach (approx. length of the cable is 7m) but also far enough away so that water cannot splash into the socket. We recommend using an outdoor socket ‑ please see our Hot Tub Safety FAQs for more info.
Surroundings: Placing your Relxtime SPA near a windbreak such as a fence or wall will help to reduce wind chill, helping it to retain more heat and in turn help to reduce your running costs. You should also consider where you will drain the water when required.
Note: Do not use the spa on sharp or rocky surfaces to prevent punctures. Do not leave the inflated spa under direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent the PVC from melting, expanding, or leaking. If the above situation occurs, Relxtime has the right to refuse warranty.
Should I leave my Relxtime SPA heater on all the time?
The Relxtime SPA is versatile, suitable for both outdoor and indoor settings. Many users enjoy it in their gardens on patios or grass, while others prefer indoor spaces like summer houses, sheds, or garages. If considering an indoor setup, be mindful of factors like drainage and ventilation.
Before setting up your Relxtime SPA, indoors or outdoors, consider these key questions:
- Can water drain easily without causing damage in case of a problem?
- Given the SPA can raise humidity, how might this impact the chosen space?
- Have you ensured proper ventilation?
- Can the flooring bear the weight of the fully-filled hot tub?
- Is the flooring level and non-slip?
- Is there an RCD for the electrical supply?
*Please note: Relxtime SPA assumes no responsibility or liability for setups in indoor areas, summer houses, or garages.
