How to Clean and Change the Filter Cartridge

The filter cartridge helps remove dirt and debris from your RELXTIME hot tub water. Regular cleaning and replacement can help keep the filtration system working properly.

RELXTIME recommends checking and cleaning the filter cartridge regularly and changing it every week.

How to Clean the Filter Cartridge

1. Disconnect the power.
   Remove the spa electrical plug from the mains before cleaning the filter.

2. Remove the filter cartridge.
   Unscrew the filter cartridge by turning it counterclockwise.

3. Remove the protective cover.
   Take off the filter protective cover and remove the filter cartridge.

4. Rinse the filter.
   After each use, rinse the filter cartridge thoroughly with a hose to remove dirt and debris.

5. Check the filter condition.
   If the filter remains discolored, is damaged, or the paper inside is torn or worn, replace it with a new filter cartridge.

6. Replace the protective cover.
   Make sure the filter protective cover is put back in place after cleaning.

How to Change the Filter Cartridge

If the filter cartridge is damaged, worn, or needs to be replaced:

1. Make sure the main plug is disconnected from the power supply.

2. Unscrew the old filter cartridge by turning it counterclockwise.

3. Remove the filter cartridge cover or filter cap.

4. Place the cover or filter cap onto the new filter cartridge.

5. Screw the new filter cartridge into the spa by turning it clockwise.

Do not overtighten the filter cartridge.

When Should You Replace the Filter?

Replace the filter cartridge if:

• It remains discolored after cleaning.

• It is damaged.

• The paper inside the cartridge is torn or worn.

• It has reached its recommended replacement interval.

For optimal filtration performance, we recommend replacing the filter cartridge every 168 hours (approximately 2 weeks) of use.
