Cold temperatures can affect the heating performance of your RELXTIME hot tub and may damage the spa if it is exposed to freezing conditions.
Keep the Spa Above 39.2°F (4°C)
The spa should not be installed or used when the ambient temperature is below 39.2°F (4°C).
This is especially important because the PVC material can become brittle and fragile in freezing temperatures, increasing the risk of cracking or other damage to the spa.
Do not switch on the appliance if the water inside the spa is frozen.
Expect Longer Heating Times
When the ambient temperature falls below 50°F (10°C), the heater works more slowly.
In cold weather, heating the water to the desired temperature can take approximately 12–24 hours, depending on the starting water temperature and outdoor conditions.
Keep the spa covered during heating to help reduce heat loss.
What Happens Below Freezing?
At temperatures below 32°F (0°C), all spa functions are blocked.
Operating the heating system or other functions at sub-zero temperatures can cause irreversible damage to the water pipes and electrical components inside the motor block.
If freezing conditions are expected and you will not be using the spa, drain it completely and store it in a dry, frost-free place.
